Privacy

Last Updated: January 24, 2026

At Praxis, we believe in transparency regarding how your gaming data is collected, stored, and shared. This Privacy Policy explains our practices when you link your game accounts to our platform.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Praxis, we collect information in the following ways:

  • Third-Party Authentication: When you sign in via Riot Games or other supported platforms, we collect your unique identifier (e.g., Riot ID) and account metadata authorized by the OAuth process.
  • Game Data: We retrieve match history, statistics, performance metrics, and associated game metadata directly from third-party APIs (such as the Riot Games API).
  • Usage Data: We may collect technical information about how you interact with Praxis, including IP addresses, device types, and browser information, to improve service stability.

2. Public Visibility of Data

Please be aware that Praxis is a public-facing stats platform.

By linking your account, you acknowledge that your retrieved game statistics and match history will be visible to other users of the application. We do not offer private profiles at the base tier; linking your account constitutes consent to display this data publicly within the Praxis ecosystem.

3. Data Retention and Storage

  • Indefinite Storage: Unlike many services that refresh data periodically, Praxis stores your match history indefinitely once your account is linked. This allows us to provide long-term historical trends and deep-dive analytics.
  • Data Removal: If you wish to have your stored match data deleted from our servers, please contact us at [Insert Contact Email]. Please note that deleting your Praxis data may result in the loss of all historical performance tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

Praxis relies on data provided by third-party platforms. These third parties have their own privacy policies:

  • Riot Games: Your data is subject to the Riot Games Privacy Notice.
  • We do not sell your personal information to third-party advertisers.

5. Cookies and Themes

We use cookies or local storage to save your preferences, such as Virtual Goods (UI themes) you have acquired. These are used solely to maintain your user experience across sessions.

6. Compliance with Canadian Law

This policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We store and process data with a commitment to these privacy standards.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or service tiers. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
